Call for Papers

Special issue on Sustainable Quality: Knowledge and Information Management

This special issue, in conjunction with KIM2013 (the OR Society's inaugural Knowledge and Information Management conference) is dedicated to the theme of Sustainable Quality. Knowledge Management has become a key process in understanding organisations and their use of resources and, ultimately, quality is a major differentiating factor when considering goods and services. Sustaining quality requires taking a strategic view that may present short to medium term challenges and knowledge management should be able to help address such challenges. Papers that relate to the theme and to knowledge and information management will be welcome. Areas of particular interest include (but are not restricted to) the management, practical application, limitations, implications, lessons learned and challenges related to KM and sustainable quality in the areas of services, education, health and manufacturing.

Please note that submissions are strictly limited to authors submitting and presenting at KIM2013.

Audience

KMRP provides an outlet for high quality, peer reviewed articles on all aspects of managing knowledge, organisational learning, intellectual capital and knowledge economics. This includes not just those focused on the organisational level, but all levels from that of the individual to that of the nation or profession. The journal includes both theoretical and practical aspects, and especially the relationship between the two. There is a particular emphasis on cross-disciplinary approaches, and on the mixing of "hard" (e.g. technological) and "soft" (e.g. cultural or motivational) issues. Rigorous contributions from both academics and practitioners are welcomed.
